Your private tour will start by walking under a great archway known as the “Porta Libitinaria” or “Gate of Death” directly on the reconstructed Arena Floor, where the savage games once took place. Facing death in front of ferocious human or animal opponents, gladiators fought on this Arena floor, where most Colosseum visitors aren’t allowed. Standing on the Arena Floor is a unique experience nothing can beat.
